IASIS Micro Current Neurofeedback is safe, effective and sustaining​. Based on patients' self observation and reporting, it has shown 85% positive responses in a few sessions. Early changes may be temporary and has observed to last longer with each session. While some patients require “tune-ups,” for the most part the benefits endure.  This is the result of the brain regaining healthier neuro-chemical balance, and developing more neuro-plasticity and neuro-regulation. All the conditions mentioned above have a common denominator: the brain is “frozen” in a dysfunctional homeostasis that leads to dysregulation. The device delivers microcurrent pulses, using a very low-level signal that does not force or change brainwaves. Instead, it provides a gentle "nudge" that works with the brain's natural activity, helping it subtly reset and organize itself. Micro Current Neurofeedback does not train the brain like traditional neurofeedback. Prevail New Health does not currently participate as a provider with insurance plans and is a fee-for-service or private pay. Currently, insurance policies does not cover Micro Current Neurofeedback. Many of their clients use their medical reimbursement or FSA/HSA cards for their treatment.

Complete Study of IASIS Micro Current Neurofeedback

The purpose of this study was to explore the effects of microcurrent neurofeedback on depression, anxiety, PTSD symptoms, and quality of life in adults.

The Institute for Neurofeedback and Biofeedback is a training institute and treatment in Switzerland (www.i--nfbf.com). It is directed by Dr. Eva Otzen-Wehmeyer.
VA scientists are studying an experimental electrical stimulation technique, coupled with neuroimaging, to learn how mild traumatic brain injury interacts with PTSD in specific areas of the brain.

UC San Diego School of Medicine, VA San Diego Healthcare System (VASDHS) and collaborators elsewhere, report significantly improved neural function in participants with mild traumatic brain injury (TBI).
