IASIS Micro Current Neurofeedback is safe, effective and sustaining. Based on patients' self observation and reporting, it has shown 85% positive responses in a few sessions. Some patients experience changes during the initial session. Early changes may be temporary and has observed to last longer with each session. By the end of a series of brain disentraining sessions, improvements may be substantial. While some patients require “tune-ups,” for the most part the benefits endure. This is the result of the brain regaining healthier neuro-chemical balance, and developing more neuro-plasticity and neuro-regulation. Each brain is different. The number of sessions differs from each individual. Their health history and health condition play an important role.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does MCN different from Traditional Neurofeedback?
In traditional neurofeedback, information from your brainwaves is transmitted to a computer screen. Patients attempt to train their brainwaves by mentally manipulating events on the screen. No signal is transmitted back to the brain. This kind of neurofeedback typically requires 40+ sessions, with a typical session lasting 45 minutes to an hour.
With MCN Micro Current Neurofeedback clients don’t do anything other than sit still for a few moments. A brief, tiny signal transmitted feeding back to the brain does all the work. And unlike traditional neurofeedback clients, MCN Micro Current Neurofeedback patients generally notice changes either immediately or within the first few sessions. Fast action, limited number of sessions, and the ease and simplicity of treatment all distinguish MCN Micro Current Neurofeedback from traditional neurofeedback.
How does it work?
MCN uses a very low power (3 pico or 3 trillionths of a watt) electromagnetic field to carry feedback to the person receiving it. The feedback travels down the same wires carrying the brain waves to the amplifier and computer.
Although the MCN signal is weak, it produces a measurable change in the brainwaves without conscious effort from the individual receiving the feedback. This feedback frequency correlates with the dominant brainwave frequency. When exposed to this feedback frequency, the EEG amplitude distribution changes in power. The result is a changed brainwave state and much greater ability for the brain and nervous system to regulate itself.
MCN is a direct feedback, imperceptible to the patient, and requiring no conscious effort.
What are the side effects?
In the first few MCN Micro Current Neurofeedback sessions, the patient sometimes experiences temporary fatigue, “light headedness” or a feeling of being “revved up.” Mild headaches also occasionally occur. These symptoms are always temporary, and typically last only a few minutes to a few hours.
Is Micro Current Neurofeedback (MCN) safe?
Yes, extremely safe. There has not been a single reported case of someone being worse off from being treated with MCN Micro Current Neurofeedback. It can be used for adult, children and pregnant women.
How effective is MCN?
The success rate is staggering. Over 85% of patients claim by their own assessment that they experience significant, often dramatic, benefits. With traumatic brain injury, clarity begins to return, headaches and migraines diminish. The “fog” begins to lift and cognitive function begins to return. In PTSD, anxiety starts to abate, panic attacks stop, sleep improves and depression lifts. And the changes are enduring. Once enough sessions have been completed, assisting the recipient to get closer, treatment is usually done.
How many session can you see improvements of symptoms?
Most patients notice initial changes within three sessions, occasionally a few more. The most effective plan with sustained results, depending on patient's condition, includes up to 10-20 sessions. Once treatment has been completed, additional sessions are usually not necessary. Occasionally, the patient may require a “boost.
Does MCN affect negative patterns? What about positive?
Only frozen, stuck patterns are affected. Healthy, functional brainwave patterns are flexible and resilient. When there is a tiny fluctuation they automatically spring back to their healthy patterns.
Do I need to stop my medications?
Medication does not diminish the effectiveness of IASIS MCN Micro Current Neurofeedback. There is no need to stop or reduce your medication, which should only be done in conjunction with your healthcare provider once MCN treatment is complete.
Who can do this treatment? Is it for home use?
IASIS MCN is only to be administered to patients by trained doctors, nurses and clinicians. It is not intended for home use.
